Like every non-profit agency, FHNV must compete annually for diminishing federal and  local dollars. We also depend on private support from people who believe in our commitment to human dignity and civil rights, including the right to live in one’s neighborhood of choice, as well as contributions from clients we serve whether landlord or tenant. Much of our public and private funding is the result of grant writing, and in many instances may only be used for very specific, limited, and/or restricted purposes. In contrast, individual donations allow us to provide for immediate needs, including needs that may not have been envisioned previously.


If you would like to help FHNV continue providing these much-needed services to Napa County residents and property owners, we have several options to help make your tax-deductible contribution easy. Just give our office a call, or email us with your name and address, and we will be happy to send you a donation envelope that you can fill out and return.

The agency is funded by Napa County and all its cities, including City of Napa Community Development Block Grant funds. Beginning in 2005, the agency has received competitive HUD Fair Housing Initiatives Program grants for education and outreach and fair housing enforcement. In addition to generous local support from area residents, the agency has received grants from The Peter A. and Vernice H. Gasser Foundation, Auction Napa Valley, The Napa Valley Community Foundation, Citibank, The E. Richard Jones Family Foundation, The Jewish Community of the Napa Valley, Community Projects, The Doctors Company, and The van LöbenSels/RembeRock Foundation.
